Ellwood has over 27 years of experience in multiple facets of rail infrastructure, encompassing rail systems, tunnels, and subterranean structures. He has overseen design teams within diverse project delivery paradigms and has worked on projects around the globe. Most recently, he served as the Engineering Manager for all three sections of the design-build project for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Westside Purple Line Extension Project.

Ellwood received a Bachelor of Engineering in civil and structural engineering from the University of Bath (United Kingdom). He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of California.
