CHICAGO, IL —
The Walsh Group announces the promotion of
Erin Schultz to Vice President of Engineering within the company's transportation division.
As Vice President of Engineering, Schultz will provide direction to The Walsh Group transportation business units’ estimating and pursuit teams, as well as oversee complex and specialty project designs for estimates. Schultz will also be responsible for developing systems to ensure accurate estimates and persuasive proposals.
“Erin brings exceptional expertise to our design-build and pursuit initiatives,” said David Casey, President of The Walsh Group's transportation division. “Erin’s leadership will guide Walsh Construction and Archer Western project teams as they coordinate with their design partners, while also ensuring our standard design-build procedures are followed across all our jobsites.”
Schultz has 23 years of experience with The Walsh Group. Her career at Walsh began as an Assistant Project Manager working on Chicago transportation projects and continuously progressed to Project Manager, Lead Cost Estimator, Chief Estimator, and most recently, Chief Engineer. Schultz’s notable projects include the $1.2 billion Red-Purple Modernization in Chicago, the $800 million I-395 Signature Bridge in Miami, and the design-build of the $895 million Ohio River Bridges Downtown Crossing in Louisville.
Schultz is a Professional Engineer and attended the University of Illinois where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in engineering.
