Sloan Ziegler joined Neel-Schaffer in 2023 and serves as an Environmental Senior Project Manager based in the Jackson, Mississippi, office. She has 13 years of extensive and diverse experience. Sloan Ziegler is active in multiple engineering organizations, including serving as President Elect of ASCE’s Environmental & Water Resources Institute.
The ASCE Young Engineer Award winner is selected annually by the ASCE’s Committee on Younger Members, and the award salutes “professional achievement in service to the advancement of the profession, evidence of technical competence, high character and integrity, and contributions to public service outside their career.”

Sloan Ziegler received a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Mississippi State University. She holds two degrees from MSU, a Bachelor of Science in civil and environmental engineering and a Master of Science in civil engineering, water resources emphasis, and she earned a master’s certificate in coastal engineering from the University of New Orleans.
