TULSA, OK — In 2023, Crossland Construction’s Tulsa Division was presented with two awards at the Associated Builders & Contractors of Oklahoma (ABC of Oklahoma) Excellence in Construction Awards ceremony. The teams’ work on the Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) Administrative Center and Zink Dam Improvements projects earned them top honors, and they also received the coveted STEP Platinum Certificate.The GRDA Administrative Center project, located in northeastern Oklahoma, serves as the central hub for the GRDA, a significant player in Oklahoma’s energy landscape. Crossland Construction’s team overcame numerous hurdles throughout this project, including the adherence to strict environmental regulations due to the center’s proximity to the Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees. The facility has cutting-edge technology, environmentally friendly design features, and a functional layout that enhances productivity.Located on the Arkansas River in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Zink Dam is a vital component to the region’s flood control system. The project involved crucial upgrades to ensure the dam’s continued effectiveness in safeguarding the local community from potential flooding events. The Crossland team worked to enhance the dam’s structural integrity, while also considering its environmental impact.In addition to their project achievements, Crossland Construction was also honored with the STEP Platinum Certificate. The Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) program, administered by ABC, recognizes companies that prioritize safety in their construction practices.
