The granular activated carbon (GAC) filter building slab pours are being completed and the walls are being formed. The GAC filters will reduce the potential for disinfection byproducts when chlorine is added to the water.
Both of the 4 million gallon clearwell tank concrete floors, interior baffle walls, exterior walls, and dome are placed, with work continuing to work on the exterior concrete coating. The recycle pump station steel piles have been driven for structural support, and crews are excavating the lower wetwell section to start placing structural concrete in the next couple of months.
