ACEC is the oldest and largest business association of engineering companies in the United States, comprising thousands of engineering practices across the country. The ACEC BIT partners with brokers and insurers to provide insurance programs and solutions tailored for ACEC member firms.
The seven BIT Trustees are engineers and lawyers who work closely with Greyling Insurance Brokerage, the ACEC BIT Program Administrator, to oversee the performance and delivery of key benefits to the program.
Everitt joined Neel-Schaffer as General Counsel in 2018 and has practiced law for 16 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Mississippi State University and a JD from the University of Mississippi and worked as an Engineer Intern before attending law school. At Neel-Schaffer, he is responsible for the firm’s legal, risk management, and safety affairs. With over 18 years of experience in the construction and engineering industry, Everitt focuses on risk avoidance through consultation and evaluation of engineering and construction issues encountered during all aspects of a project’s life cycle.
