JACKSON, MS — Neel-Schaffer, Inc., announces that Gabe Faggard, PE, has joined the firm and will serve as a Senior Project Manager and Korey Hardin, PE, SI, has joined the firm and will serve as a Project Manager.Faggard has more than 22 years of experience, all with the Mississippi Department of Transportation. He held various roles with MDOT, including Project Engineer and Resident Engineer. From 2014 through 2021 he served as the District Construction Engineer for MDOT District 6, overseeing construction projects for a 14-county area in South Mississippi.

Faggard will play a key role in construction oversight as a member of Neel-Schaffer’s Construction Management team.

“We are extremely pleased to have Gabe join Neel-Schaffer,” said Robert Walker, PE, Executive Vice President for the firm’s Central Region. “Gabe’s experience with MDOT will help us greatly, as we have several large federally funded projects going to construction in 2022.”

Faggard is a registered Professional Engineer in Mississippi and holds MDOT LPA certification. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University, with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering.

Based in the firm’s Hattiesburg office, Hardin has more than 10 years of experience, including nine with the Mississippi Department of Transportation, where he served as a Resident Engineer, Project Engineer, and Engineer in Training.

Hardin is also a First Lieutenant in the Mississippi Air National Guard, 172d Civil Engineer Squadron. Hardin will serve as a Project Manager for Neel-Schaffer, managing a variety of design and construction civil projects.

Hardin is a registered Professional Engineer and a registered Surveyor Intern in Mississippi. He holds a Bachelor of Science in civil and environmental engineering from Mississippi State University.
