As a key member of HNTB’s Gulf Coast civil works practice, Gaines will coordinate with local, state, and federal clients and manage project teams to deliver project scopes, schedules, and budgets to completion. As a Senior Project Manager, she will also lead the development and execution of project and program management plans as well as supervise and mentor teams to achieve project objectives.
“Avis’s extensive experience managing and delivering massive infrastructure projects across Louisiana, especially signature components of the post-Katrina hurricane protection system, will be a significant value-add to our clients and our team,” said Bryan Jones, HNTB Gulf Coast Office Leader.
Prior to joining HNTB, Gaines served as the Design Build Coordinator on the $169-million Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement public-private partnership project in Plaquemines Parish and managed multiple projects for the United States Army Corps of Engineers.
In addition to overseeing the delivery of current and ongoing infrastructure projects, Gaines will assist the office in client development activities and project pursuits throughout the Gulf Coast region. Gaines received her Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Louisiana State University.
