The Chapter Awards Gala highlighted the Excellence in Construction Awards along with other Chapter Awards. The evening began at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and the awards presentation at 7 p.m.
Members who submitted projects were judged on the criteria of safety, project narrative, contracted scope and references, with safety being the principal measure of success. Cajun received the STEP Diamond Award and Excellence in Construction Awards in the following categories:
- Specialty Construction – Industrial, less than $10 million
- Industrial Construction – less than $5 million
- Other Specialty Construction – Industrial, more than $10 million
- Specialty Construction – Commercial, less than $10 million
- Mechanical Industrial – $2-10 million
ABC is a national construction industry trade association representing more than 21,000 members.
