(ESS) announces the acquisition of Chester Bross Construction Company of Hannibal, Missouri, and Hutchens Construction Company of Cassville, Missouri, and Springdale, Arkansas. The acquisition will give the ESS’s teams the ability to share resources, expand their geographic footprint and add value for their clients.

Through generations of work, Chester Bross Construction Company and Hutchens Construction Company have developed relationships throughout the Midwest region. ESS looks forward to fostering these partnerships and providing construction services to its clients and industry partners.

Chester Bross Construction Company

With over 200 employee-owners, Chester Bross Construction Company brings more than 50 years of construction experience in pavement preservation projects, asphalt paving, concrete patching and diamond grinding expertise to ESS. The employees have built interstate highways, municipal streets and parking lots throughout the Midwest. Acquiring Chester Bross Construction Company will expand the ESS pavement preservation projects and diversify the services offered to clients.

Hutchens Construction Company

With over 100 employee-owners, Hutchens Construction Company brings over 50 years of experience in southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas and northeast Oklahoma performing asphalt paving, chip seal, base rock installation and aggregate production. Like ESS, they are 100 percent employee owned. Partnering with Hutchens Construction provides ESS’s clients with expanded benefits including access to shared resources, execution of larger and more complex excavation capabilities, asphalt paving and concrete paving projects.
