MEMPHIS, TN — Gresham Smith announces that Greg Dotson, P.E., has rejoined the firm as Senior Vice President in the Transportation market.

Dotson brings over 25 years of multimarket experience to the firm, including relationships with clients at the municipal and state level in West Tennessee. He has a background in traffic engineering, intelligent transportation system design, and roadway design. In his previous stint at the firm, he led the construction, engineering, and inspection (CEI) phase of the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s (TDOT) Smartway Memphis ITS project.

In his new role, Dotson will serve as the Senior Transportation Market Leader in West Tennessee. Active local projects include a multimarket planning effort with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development in the region surrounding Ford’s BlueOval City project; multiple CEI projects with the city of Memphis and TDOT’s Smartway system; and new utility design and coordination work with Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW).

“Greg is going to be a huge asset for our growing practice in West Tennessee,” said Kent Black, P.E., Executive Vice President of Transportation at Gresham Smith. “He has spent his entire career in West Tennessee, and he brings a number of new relationships that will allow us to continue to expand our footprint in that part of the state.”
