Dotson brings over 25 years of multimarket experience to the firm, including relationships with clients at the municipal and state level in West Tennessee. He has a background in traffic engineering, intelligent transportation system design, and roadway design. In his previous stint at the firm, he led the construction, engineering, and inspection (CEI) phase of the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s (TDOT) Smartway Memphis ITS project.
In his new role, Dotson will serve as the Senior Transportation Market Leader in West Tennessee. Active local projects include a multimarket planning effort with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development in the region surrounding Ford’s BlueOval City project; multiple CEI projects with the city of Memphis and TDOT’s Smartway system; and new utility design and coordination work with Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW).

Dotson is active within the industry, previously serving as President of the Tennessee section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers as well as on the Tennessee board of Intelligent Transportation Society, Memphis chapter board of American Council of Engineering Companies, and the board of the Engineers’ Club of Memphis.
