Coordinating closely with the town of Middleton, Connolly Brothers provided pre-construction, design, engineering, and construction management services on the project, with the design team emphasizing flexibility by pairing manufacturing needs such as high-bay warehouse space with modern office facilities. As Stone Ridge’s name suggests, the project involved clearing the site of a significant amount of rock before concrete could be poured and steel could be erected. The finished colonial building features a 35-foot glass atrium and a brick façade adorned with antique-style hanging lanterns, as well as heavy power, energy-efficient lighting, and the ability to customize interiors to tenant specifications.
“We have worked with Connolly Brothers before, and they were our first choice for this project,” said Peter and Chris Richardson, Co-Owners of Richardson Green. “Connolly does a great job with design-build projects and are very detail-oriented when it comes to producing drawings and budgets. They are transparent about all bids, and we have complete confidence in them as our construction manager.”
The project team included BLW Engineers (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing), the Morin-Cameron Group, Inc. (civil engineering), JSN Associates, LLC (structural engineering), Manter Company, Inc. (site work), D.J. Plumbing, D&D Electrical, and Hall Sheetmetal Works (HVAC/mechanical).
“Richardson Green had a clear vision for a building that would be attractive to a broad swath of commercial tenants in this convenient location,” said Connolly Brothers President Jay Connolly. “It was our pleasure to again collaborate with them from start to finish to execute that vision.”
