The 200,000-square-foot McGivney Tower is an overbuild of the McGivney Advanced Ambulatory Surgical Center and will include a Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Suite, four patient floors, and a mechanical/electrical room. The two adjoining towers will add 204 inpatient beds to provide care to patients. Both towers will focus on innovation in the neurosciences and will provide a unique setting for patients seeking care from movement disorders to neuro-regeneration. There will also be an 8,000-square-foot healing garden on the fourth-floor roof between the two towers.
“We are so proud of our team and all the trades men and women who helped us achieve this important milestone,” said Chad McCullough, Vice President and General Manager, Turner Construction Company. “Their hard work and dedication are helping Yale-New Haven further its mission to bring cutting-edge neuroscience treatment to our community.”
The 507,000-square-foot project is expected to be completed in late 2026.
