Sardilli will be responsible for driving the development and strategic growth of Transit & Rail services in Connecticut. He will oversee VHB’s local multidisciplinary team of engineers and the delivery of these services on complex projects and task-order assignments. Sardilli's 32 years of experience includes leading major rail, transit, and transportation projects including rail facilities, transit stations, busways, highways, and local roads for projects across a broad spectrum of typologies and scales. Sardilli has worked on some of the most transformative projects in Connecticut transit and rail, including the West Haven Commuter Rail Station, the Hartford Line Rail Station Design, and the Darien Railroad Station Improvement project.
Sardilli has long-standing task-order work with the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) Office of Rail and Bureau of Public Transportation. He directs transportation design, planning, and studies for Transit & Rail projects for CTDOT and municipalities throughout Connecticut. He collaborates with key project stakeholders and manages both workflow and quality to achieve project objectives on time and on budget. Sardilli holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Connecticut, and he was promoted to Associate Stockholder at VHB in 2021.
