BOSTON, MA — NEI General Contracting, a general contracting firm, announces that Marisa Somers has been promoted to Project Executive (PX). Somers will leverage her 18 years of experience to organize and execute projects and trades to achieve maximum construction and cost efficiency. She will be involved with the preconstruction process to assist with the definition of the project scope, document development, and project scheduling and phasing.

Somers most recently completed Holtzer Park, a 70,000-square-foot development in Jamaica Plain with 62 affordable rental apartments, and Holmes Beverly, a 67,000-square-foot, six-story, transit-oriented mixed-use development located adjacent to the Beverly Depot commuter rail station in the heart of downtown Beverly, Massachusetts. She is currently working on Dudley Crossing in Roxbury, Massachusetts, a 47-unit preservation project that includes the construction of a new 24-unit Passive House building and a historic renovation of another nine-unit building.

Somers earned a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. She is a LEED AP and a PHIUS Certified Builder.
