The ceremony began with a flag presentation and playing of the national anthem, followed by introductions and remarks by U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion Maine Company Commander, CPT Andrew Doyle, and United Construction & Forestry and United Ag & Turf CEO, Eric Driscoll. Also in attendance were United Ag & Turf President, Scott Miller, and Vice President of Human Resources, Amy Mulcahy, along with several United employees. Each company was presented with a certificate of partnership participation plaque. Refreshments and a luncheon followed for signing attendees and guests.
The PaYS Program is a strategic partnership between the U.S. Army and a cross section of corporations, companies, and public sector agencies. The program provides America's soldiers with an opportunity to serve their country while they prepare for their future. PaYS Partners guarantee soldiers an interview and possible employment after the Army.
“The U.S. Army teaches discipline, teamwork, communication, and service while fostering leadership capabilities. These are the exact qualities we are looking for at United,” Driscoll said. “Entering this partnership with PaYS reflects the importance that we place on our military veterans. We look forward to providing a welcome outlet for the brave men and women who protect our country following their service career.”
