BILLINGS, MT — The Board of Directors of the Montana Equipment Dealers Association (MEDA) has approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) for their associations to collaborate on federal advocacy.
“The MEDA members recognize the importance of aligning with a strong international equipment organization to lobby on federal policy,” said Brad Griffin, Managing Director of MEDA. “This agreement formalizes what has been in practice for many years between AED and MEDA.”
MEDA has been active and effective in Montana’s state legislature and has built working relationships with members of its Congressional delegation. This coordinated strategy with a partner such as AED further builds upon its efforts to provide additional value to MEDA members on issues of importance to equipment dealers.
AED has an extensive network and influence with elected and appointed leaders in Washington, D.C. With decades of experience working with policymakers, AED has established relationships to effectively address policy issues of concern to equipment dealers.
“We’re proud to welcome the Montana Equipment Dealers Association as the newest partner in AED’s growing advocacy coalition,” said Brian P. McGuire, President & CEO of AED. “By aligning our federal advocacy efforts with strong regional associations like MEDA, we’re ensuring that equipment dealers across the country speak with one unified and influential voice in Washington, D.C. and state capitals.”
