Through her previous experience, Dohn established industry and government relationships while also working with trade partners and NGOs to bridge the gaps between stakeholders involved in the planning, development, construction, and operation of renewable energy sources. Her knowledge of the regulatory processes that drive solar energy will allow Dohn to inform McCarthy’s project teams and client representatives of legislative requirements and key policymaker concerns.
“Renewable energy remains a growing topic of conversation as well as a source of hesitation for some,” said Scott Canada, Executive Vice President of McCarthy’s renewable energy group. “Having Steffanie advocating for our industry and educating decision makers about environmentally sustainable infrastructure will help further our goal of building renewable energy projects that provide immense value to communities and end users around the country.”
Dohn earned her bachelor's degree in political science from Lake Forest College, and her master's degree in social ecology from Goddard College. Early in her career, she developed a passion for environmental improvement, intertwined with the economic and governmental policies that propel or hinder expanding renewable energy infrastructure.
