“In 2016, we welcomed Rick as one of the founding members of our Central Texas office and special projects division,” said Charles R. Myers (Charlie), President and CEO of MYCON. “Since day one at MYCON, he has been a key player in our overall growth. The strong relationships he has established with our clients, including with national retailer, Walmart, have paved the path for us to expand nationally.”
With extensive family ties to the construction industry, Dubec was introduced to the industry early on. He officially started his professional career after serving four years in the United States Marine Corps. “To quote Charlie, ‘I didn’t choose the construction industry; the construction industry chose me,’” Dubec said.
Dubec has over three decades of commercial construction experience. In 2004, he partnered with a small general contractor in the retail and grocery remodel sector. In 2016, he merged his team of seven employees with MYCON to establish the firm’s special project division in College Station, Texas. Under his leadership, this division now has 165 employees across MYCON’s four offices, with projects spread throughout 15 states, and has surpassed over $200 million in revenue in 2023.
He has served as a Walmart General Contractor Advisory Council member and recently became an investor with the Brazos Valley Economic Development Council.
