Kerby has significantly grown the Signature Resort and Residences Division in Park City and Jackson since joining Big-D more than eight years ago in 2015. He also led Big-D to a partnership with the Dovetail Construction group in Bozeman, which is now part of Signature. Kerby will remain President of Signature, based out of Park City, in addition to acting in his new role of COO.
Kerby has been mentoring and supporting Big-D’s partners at McAlvain Companies in Boise for the past few years. Today, he is guiding and mentoring a sizable percentage of Big-D Companies teammates and — aligned with Big-D’s strategic plan of having multiple COOs — will become their second COO, joining long-time COO Troy Thompson.
“Mike has demonstrated strong leadership capabilities as the head of several business units, leading operational, residential, and commercial functions, as well as prioritizing our customer’s experience,” said Cory Moore, CEO of Big-D Companies. “As COO, Mike has the overall responsibility to ensure Signature is the most sought-after design-build construction management company within mountain resort communities."
Prior to joining Big-D, Kerby started his construction career working for Morrison Knudsen, Micron, and then became a partner with RCI Construction Group. He moved to Park City in 2005 after selling the company to Parsons Corporation, where he met Cory Moore and Big-D.
