“My role entails all things ‘design’ and involves more than just the ‘pen to paper’ part,” Braam said. “It’s how design proceeds into construction, strategizing our pursuits, building client relationships, plus mentoring/developing/inspiring our teams.”
In his new role, Braam said he will be especially passionate about encouraging dialogue about design.
“The communication between ourselves and our clients is a gift to be treasured," Braam said. “That dialogue allows us to ‘pass the puck’ — explore, listen, and strive for excellence — not only in design, but to foster the tremendous satisfaction we all achieve from working together.”
“We are thrilled that James has brought his award-winning talents to our firm,” said Juliane Scherer, AIA, Managing Principal of the Denver architecture practice. “We both agree that we have something very special here at HDR, and I know that James will be integral to strengthening our culture and helping us continue to deliver award-winning work to our clients and our community.”
