PHOENIX, AZ — McCarthy Building Companies Inc. promotes Ryan Ferguson to Vice President Project Executive of the Mission Critical project group based in Phoenix, Arizona, and promotes Brandon Moon to Vice President Project Executive of the firm’s aviation group in the Southwest region.
Ryan Ferguson
Ferguson joined McCarthy two years ago as Director of the Mission Critical project group, which is focused on the construction of colocation, hyperscale, enterprise, and cryptocurrency mining data centers; operations and control centers; telecom facilities; renovations and upgrades to infrastructure systems, as well as emerging critical power storage and generation facilities that dovetail with the efforts of McCarthy’s Renewable Energy team.

In his new role, Ferguson will focus on the growth and execution of McCarthy’s Mission Critical business across the U.S. With nearly two decades of experience in construction, he has carved a niche leading Mission Critical projects with 24/7 operational systems that form the backbone of the digital-based economy. His experience in this sector allows him to successfully evaluate and address these highly technical projects and lead teams through the preconstruction, construction, and commissioning phases.

Ferguson earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He is a LEED AP BD+C Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Building Council and is a graduate of the Arizona Builders Alliance Leadership Development Forum. He is also a member of Infrastructure Masons, 7×24 Exchange International, and Urban Land Institute.

Brandon Moon
Moon joined McCarthy two decades ago and has gained diverse experience working on aviation, health care, education, commercial, and water projects across Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Texas.

In his new role, Moon will focus on leading aviation construction project teams and collaborating with project owners and trade partners to efficiently construct, renovate, and upgrade airports in Arizona and throughout the Southwest. He recently led the team that successfully completed the $310-million expansion of the eighth concourse in Terminal 4 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, which included the addition of eight new gates serving Southwest Airlines passengers and the addition of new baggage handling systems.

Moon earned his bachelor’s degree in construction engineering from Montana State University.
