Big-D Companies Announces Two New Executive Roles

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — As Big-D Family of Companies continues to grow nationwide with 14 offices in eight states and over 1,500 associates, the company’s executive leadership is also expanding.

Big-D announces Michael Sant, former Senior Vice President, has been named Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Shaun Orr, former Vice President, has been named Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Since 2005, Sant has been a leader at Big-D Companies in many different roles. Sant’s resume includes Senior Estimator, Pre-Construction Director, Vice President, Senior Vice President, and most recently an executive on one of the largest ongoing projects in the United States, The Salt Lake City International Airport Redevelopment Program.

“We are pleased to watch his progression as a leader, and we are excited to have him take the reigns as CSO,” said Big-D Chief Executive Officer Cory Moore.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Sant will have many new responsibilities including consistently clarifying and communicating Big-D Companies' vision and taking the necessary strategic steps to support that vision and continued growth.

“This is an exciting opportunity, and I look forward to contributing to the lasting vision created by our founder, Dee Livingood,” Sant said.

Former Vice President and Head of Human Resources and Information Technology, Orr has worked for Big-D Family of Companies and its associates for over 20 years.

“His dedication exemplifies our mission of being the most sought-after, which is echoed through his ever-patient, thoughtful, and humble service to everyone at Big-D,” Moore said.

As CIO, Orr is responsible for the effective leadership, strategy, and implementation of the organization’s information and policies as related to Human Resources and Technology. Additionally, he will provide expertise and future vision to leverage technology and human capital management to ensure Big-D Companies’ commitment to growth and innovation.

“I am honored to have been asked to work with the Senior Leadership team at Big-D and lead our efforts on innovation, technology, and our most valuable and cherished resource: our people," Orr said.
