Envirotec Construction Services (ECS), based in Argyle, Texas, has been a cornerstone of the state’s construction industry since 1997. Founded by Tom Denman, ECS has grown from a small operation into a major player in large-scale excavation and site preparation, specializing in demolition, grading, stormwater control, and commercial and residential development.
Today, the company manages projects across a wide swath of North Texas, from McKinney to Dallas and as far north as Sanger. According to Robert Work, an Operations Field Manager, the company takes great pride in helping advance the infrastructure of the region.
“Any street we drive on, it’s very likely that we’ve had machines there with our guys working hard,” he said.
They also rely on Bobcat compact excavators for precise digging and site prep.
“The versatility of Bobcat equipment is unmatched,” Work said. “It allows us to tackle both large-scale commercial work and smaller residential projects without missing a beat.”

ECS’ attachment arsenal includes pallet forks, land planes, vibratory rollers, and street sweepers, allowing them to handle everything from fine grading to heavy material transport.
ECS recently completed a large-scale commercial office park project for Pivotal in McKinney, Texas, thanks to a fleet of Bobcat equipment and attachments.
“Our team tackled complex grading and stormwater control needs with precision and efficiency,” said Robert Satterfield, Operations Manager for Grade Divisions for Envirotec Construction Services. “We deployed Bobcat T66 Compact Track Loaders and Bobcat compact excavators to manage both fine grading and stormwater mitigation. The excavators, equipped with thumbs, allowed us to precisely place riprap in bar ditches and relief areas — eliminating the need for manual labor and significantly reducing strain on our crew. This not only improved safety but also saved time and preserved the health of our workers.”
For grading, the team used the T66 compact track loaders.

“They delivered exceptional control, helping us meet strict elevation requirements to prevent erosion into the detention pond,” Satterfield said. “Working alongside busy interstates and multiple trades, safety was paramount. The right equipment enabled us to maintain safe distances from hazards while staying productive.”
A suite of attachments helped complete the work efficiently:
- Brush cutter: Cleared the site at the outset, prepping the area for work
- Rock buckets: Used throughout the job for material handling
- Pallet forks: Essential for unloading heavy deliveries like RCP pipe and headwalls without needing extra machinery
- Land plane: Used for fine grading
- Street sweeper: Ensured a clean site after every shift
“By equipping each crew with machines like the T66 and S550 skid-steer loader — each optimized for different terrain and tasks — and loading them with multiple attachments, we created what we call a ‘force multiplier,’” Satterfield said. “One machine became many, enabling us to adapt quickly and work smarter across the site.”

A critical part of ECS’ success has been the support of Bobcat of North Texas, their equipment dealer.
“They’ve been with us from the start,” Work said. “Whether it’s getting us the latest R-Series machines during a tight supply chain crunch or providing over-the-phone diagnostics, their support has been phenomenal.”
The dealership’s service extends beyond just selling machines. With an understanding of ECS’ operational needs, their dealer helps keep projects moving by ensuring equipment is always ready for the next job.
For ECS, the quality of their work is as important as the equipment they use.

“There is no gray area,” Work said. “We either did our job right, or we didn’t do it at all.”
