Sutley Joins Dewberry as Senior Project Manager in Denver, Colorado
Sutley joins the firm’s resilience solutions group with more than 15 years of experience working for four federal agencies, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Weather Service, Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
He previously managed the delivery of large-scale, multi-frequency inundation mapping to the counties and communities of North Dakota. This large-scale, base-level engineering project represented the first time a 2D rain-on-grid hydraulic model had been utilized to produce flood risk data that meets FEMA guidelines and standards at a statewide scale. In his new role with Dewberry, Sutley is responsible for project management and business development.
“We are very excited to welcome David to the firm,” said Dewberry Associate Vice President Jean Huang, PE, CFM, ENV SP. “His knowledge and expertise in mapping and water resources for federal agencies is a valuable asset, and we’re excited about being able to continue offering these services to our clients in the West.”
Sutley earned a master’s degree in water resources engineering (2005) and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (2003), both from the University of Alabama.
