The Zone 3D and 4A Improvements Program’s purpose was to upgrade the city of Phoenix’s drinking water delivery system to provide resiliency, redundancy, and flexibility to ensure a safe and reliable water supply for customers. Sundt served as the construction manager at risk for Segment 2. This $62 million segment included the installation of a 4-mile-long, 66-inch pipeline under 32nd Street from Shea Boulevard to Bell Road.
