Complex blues are paired with warm tones of gray, while dark woods, a celebration of Minnesota’s Big Woods legacy, bring warmth and texture. Copper accents brighten and balance the wintery hues with layered pattern. The result is an interior that judges praise as “balanced and intimate” despite the large footprint.
The furniture is inspired by iconic graffiti in Tractorworks’ existing stairwells and management office: bold hues pop against the neutral background. The environmental graphics use a layered approach to give foundation to the Tractorworks brand. The jurors praised the space as “holistic” and “seamless” from space to space.
"Bringing human dignity and equity to our built environments is a minimum standard, a basic starting point," Ansera said. "It is a great designer that will expound on that minimum and bring forth design that manifests the human spirit and inspires us all to live, work, and learn at our best regardless of the color of our skin, our economic status, our physical ability, or our identity."
