MADISON, WI — The Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin (AGC of Wisconsin) announces its 100th anniversary, celebrating a century of advocacy, education, and leadership for the state’s construction industry.
Founded in 1926, AGC of Wisconsin has supported the contractors who build and maintain Wisconsin’s critical commercial, institutional, industrial, water, and wastewater infrastructure.
Today, AGC represents hundreds of construction firms and industry partners employing tens of thousands of professionals statewide. AGC’s leadership in public policy, workforce development, safety, labor relations, and innovation has played a central role in shaping Wisconsin’s construction industry.
“To reach a 100-year milestone is an extraordinary achievement,” said Bob Barker, CEO of AGC of Wisconsin. “This anniversary honors the people, projects, and partnerships that have built Wisconsin over the last century. AGC has always been about developing a skilled workforce that’s second to none, leadership on issues that impact our members, and raising the professionalism of our industry.”
“Construction is a cornerstone of our communities,” said Kevin Renley, 2026 AGC of Wisconsin President. “For 100 years, AGC has brought contractors together to build more than any one company could alone. As we celebrate this centennial, we reaffirm our commitment to advocacy, workforce development, and building a safer, stronger Wisconsin for the next century.”
