DULUTH, MN — Burns & McDonnell celebrated the expansion of its Duluth, Minnesota, office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house, marking the company’s continued growth in the region and its move into a larger office space.
The expanded office reflects the firm’s long-term commitment to the Twin Ports, the Iron Range, the Arrowhead Region, and the broader Upper Midwest. The new space will support the firm’s growing local team as it continues helping clients plan, design, permit, construct, and manage critical infrastructure projects across the region.
The larger space spans approximately 3,700 square feet and includes 24 workstations, four conference spaces, and room for continued growth.
Burns & McDonnell has a long-standing history in the region. More than 100 years ago, the firm developed municipal water infrastructure solutions in Virginia and Hibbing, Minnesota, as those mining communities were beginning to boom. In the 1920s, engineers who would become part of the firm’s Transportation Group helped convert the original steel lattice bridge in Canal Park from its former trolley configuration into today’s Aerial Lift Bridge.
