MINNEAPOLIS, MN — PCL Construction, Inc., based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, hosted the FORE! Mental Health 2nd Annual Charity Golf Event at The Meadows at Mystic Lake, uniting industry leaders, trade partners, and community members to raise awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention in the construction industry.
The event, held during National Suicide Prevention Month, raised money to benefit Your Wings of Hope and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, two organizations dedicated to providing life-saving resources, education, and support for those affected by mental health challenges.
“This event is more than a golf tournament; it’s a movement to break the silence and stigma around mental health in construction,” said Trent Johnson, Vice President and District Manager at PCL. “We’re proud to stand with our community to drive change, one conversation and one donation at a time.”
Now in its second year, the FORE! Mental Health Charity Golf Event was spearheaded and hosted by PCL as a lead-in to Construction Suicide Prevention Week (CSPW), an international initiative that raises awareness about the disproportionately high suicide rates in the construction industry. The event is just one part of PCL’s broader mental health awareness campaign.
