PCL Raises $60,000 for Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Initiatives

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — PCL Construction brought together employees, trade partners, clients, and community supporters across two states through its FORE! Mental Health fundraising events, raising awareness for mental health and suicide prevention while supporting organizations dedicated to providing education, advocacy, and critical resources.

The third annual Minneapolis FORE! Mental Health Charity Golf Event and the inaugural Fargo FORE! Mental Health Charity Golf Event united hundreds of participants around a shared goal: advancing mental health awareness and supporting suicide prevention efforts throughout the construction industry and the communities where PCL operates.

The event in Minneapolis, Minnesota, supported Your Wings of Hope and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, while the event in Fargo, North Dakota, benefited the 4-6-3 Foundation, which is dedicated to providing hope, education, advocacy, and life-saving support for individuals and families impacted by mental health challenges. Together, the events raised more than $60,000 to advance mental health awareness and suicide prevention efforts across Minnesota and North Dakota.

"These events demonstrate the incredible impact that can happen when people come together around a cause that matters," said Trent Johnson, Vice President of PCL's Midwest division. "Mental health affects every workplace, family, and community. We're proud to partner with organizations making a difference and grateful to everyone who participated, donated, and helped advance this important conversation."

Both events were held during National Suicide Prevention Month and aligned with Construction Suicide Prevention Week. Historically, construction workers face disproportionately high rates of suicide, making awareness, education, and access to resources important for the industry. PCL continues to support efforts that encourage open dialogue, reduce stigma, and help connect people with the support they need.

The Minneapolis tournament marked the third year of a growing initiative that has become an annual tradition for PCL's Minnesota operations. Meanwhile, the Fargo event expanded the program's reach into North Dakota for the first time, creating new opportunities to engage the regional construction community in mental health advocacy and fundraising efforts. The events featured networking opportunities, community engagement activities, and remarks from PCL leaders and nonprofit partners focused on the importance of peer support, awareness, and suicide prevention.

The FORE! Mental Health fundraisers are part of PCL's broader mental health initiative, which promotes awareness, encourages meaningful conversations, and supports employee wellbeing throughout the year. Through partnerships, educational programming, and community involvement, PCL continues to advocate for a culture where seeking help is encouraged and mental health is treated with the same importance as physical safety.
