Among the companies that not only sponsored the event, but also had a booth in the Exhibit Hall and led several of the educational sessions, was Seiler Instrument & Manufacturing Company’s Geospatial Division.
“We were excited to exhibit at the Annual Wisconsin Surveyors’ Institute Show," said Steve Grady, of Seiler Geospatial. "There were over 1,000 attendees of professional land surveyors and survey technicians. It meant a lot to us to network and meet with customers face-to-face and help promote the land surveying profession. In addition, Seiler unveiled their new branding with refreshed displays and banners.”
As an Authorized Distribution Partner for Trimble, Seiler had a full line of surveying and mapping products including the Trimble R12i receiver with Trimble ProPoint GNSS technology on display at their booth, as well as their full line of drones from DJI. Seiler also promoted the Proceq GS8000 Ground Penetrating Radar from Screening Eagle.
“This unit is the most advanced subsurface mapping system that scans the underground to provide a clear 3D image of what lies beneath,” Grady said. “The applications are endless, from utility strike prevention to subsurface utility engineering to underground 3D reality capture to asset inspection of bridges, etc.”

In addition to being an exhibitor, Seiler hosted three technical presentations. The first was on field collection and importing the data into Civil 3D or Trimble Business Center. The second involved training on Trimble Business Center and working better with point cloud data. The final presentation focused on drone technology and new payloads and data processing options.
“The Wisconsin region is an extremely important market for us,” Grady said. “We were able to host the 22nd Annual Seiler Tech Day the day before the show. During the Tech Day, we talked about what’s new, gave an update on monitoring as well as mobile mapping. We had a full and engaged audience for the day-long presentation.”
Seiler was also a sponsor of the WSLS Scholarship recipients. The company has sponsored scholarships for the WSLS Foundation since 2006.
