MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Opus has promoted Beth Duyvejonck to Executive Vice President of Construction. In her new role, Duyvejonck retains responsibility for overseeing construction activities in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Des Moines, Iowa, and expands her duties to include driving operational efficiency in multiple regions and advancing the company’s strategic plan.

“Beth exemplifies the very best of what a leader should be. She is intelligent, strategic, and collaborative; she is confident yet humble; honest yet compassionate; sure and steady; and she raises the bar for all of us at Opus every day,” said Tom Becker, President & Chief Executive Officer, Opus Design Build. “Beth has left a lasting mark on our operations and culture, so I’m excited to see the additional impact she’ll have in her new role.”

Becker added that Duyvejonck is well positioned to succeed in her new role, having been engaged in design-build project management with Opus since 1997 and successfully managing marquee projects, including 365 Nicollet, The Nic on Fifth, and several projects at the University of St. Thomas to name just a few. She has also spearheaded critical Opus initiatives such as the rollout of the company’s Integrated Design Services workflow, driven advancements in project performance and accountability through the scorecard review process, and mentored countless associates. Duyvejonck will leverage these experiences in her new role as she contributes to implementation of Opus’ strategic plan and guides associates on effective deployment of Opus’ collaborative design-build model and Client Direct Services.

Duyvejonck holds a Master of Arts in organizational leadership from St. Catherine University and a Bachelor of Science in construction engineering from Iowa State University. She is a member of the Design-Build Institute of America, the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota, and the United States Green Building Council.
