This award recognizes a student who has provided an extraordinary level of service to the department. Weber has served as an Officer in ASCE for the past two years and also helped found the student chapter of APWA and served on its board. She has been the TA for Civil Materials and Surveying and has represented the department at many different professional venues. One of her most significant contributions has been her mentorship of younger students and helping to establish a culture of participation and community in Bolton & Menk's new department.
“I grew up in Chanhassen, Minnesota, and was strongly encouraged by my parents to pursue civil engineering, as I’ve always held a particular interest in architecture and infrastructure," Weber said. "I’m a fifth-year student at the University of St. Thomas, and I’ll be graduating in May with both a civil engineering degree and a business management degree. In my time at St. Thomas, I’ve had the privilege to serve on the ASCE student chapter executive board for the last three years, formerly as Secretary now as Vice President. I’m also the Co-Founder and current Vice President for the student chapter of APWA at St. Thomas. I’ve been a TA for both the surveying and civil materials courses, and enjoy helping students with courses I’ve personally loved. After graduation, I will begin my career as a Transportation Engineer at Bolton & Menk.”
