BISMARCK, ND — Kraus-Anderson has completed construction on a new polytechnic education center at Bismarck State College (BSC) in Bismarck, North Dakota. Built on a greenfield site, the $42.5 million building is the only polytechnic education facility in the region.
Designed by ICON Architectural Group, the 89,486-square-foot BSC Advanced Technology Center features project-based learning and nontraditional, hands-on collaborative working environments. The building includes two flex labs where business and industry can partner on developing projects, provide space for expanding new academic programming, and advance applied research.
The three-story building, connected by a skywalk to the BSC National Energy Center of Excellence, also houses a live event venue, a digital hive, and a security operations center as well as other learning environments.
Construction began in October of 2022. The BSC Advanced Technology Center will officially open to the public with a grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting in March 2025.
