CHICAGO, IL — Daniel Meeker is stepping up to become Director of HOK’s Experience Design practice. Committed to understanding the whole sensory experience and the complete journey of people within the built environment, Meeker has spent his professional career bringing interpretation and identity to experiential graphics, wayfinding, and brand design projects.

As Director of Experience Design, Meeker will join Creative Director Jeff Lancaster to lead a team of designers and visual storytellers to create spaces that complement and enhance architecture. Based in HOK’s Chicago studio, Meeker most recently served as Director of Operations for Experience Design, a role that had him mentoring and coaching junior designers and working closely with clients.

“Dan is a tremendous resource who brings creativity, communication, and client management to all projects,” Lancaster said. “I can’t think of anyone better to lead our team into the future.”

Projects Meeker has shaped and influenced include Shiseido Americas Headquarters, the O’Hare International Airport Terminal 5 Expansion, and the Kentucky International Convention Center.

“I’m excited about this next opportunity with Experience Design,” Meeker said. “We have a great team, and I look forward to seeing how we can continue to expand and evolve our work as storytellers and designers.”

Meeker holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts - Graphic Design from DePaul University and is a member of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design. Besides his leadership roles within Experience Design, Meeker has served as a HOK Project Manager and Graphic Designer and operated his own design studio.
