COLUMBUS, OH — Walsh Construction has been honored with the BX Safety Achievement Award from the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio, recognizing the company's safety and health across projects throughout the state and the greater Ohio River Valley. Walsh Construction has an extensive presence in central Ohio, delivering health care and academic facilities. Current work includes The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Inpatient Hospital, where Walsh is part of the joint venture constructing the 1.9 million-square-foot project that will expand patient care capacity and medical innovation; the Biomedical and Materials Engineering Complex Phase 2 at Ohio State, an academic and research facility supporting the next generation of engineering and health care leaders; and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, where Walsh is also part of the joint venture contributing to the ongoing expansion of the pediatric research and care center.
The BX Safety Achievement Award, first presented in 1995, is given to companies that demonstrate superior safety performance across the commercial construction industry. Selection is based on statistical safety records, onsite job performance, and a thorough review of OSHA history. Walsh’s recognition highlights the company’s prioritization of safety culture, risk management, and worker well-being.
