The new facility has an 18,000-square-foot shop area with a new paint booth, designed large enough to handle up to an eight axle all-terrain crane. There are two drive-through bays, each spanned by two, 20-ton capacity overhead cranes. The new facility is capable of handling equipment ranging from small carry deck cranes to larger crawler cranes. This means WPPE Service Technicians can perform equipment repairs and rebuilds inside, while working in a safe and temperature-controlled environment.
The newly constructed Lebanon site is the largest dedicated crane repair facility in Indiana and Kentucky. WPPE not only offers all forms of repair services, but also offers full refurbishment and rebuilds for all types of cranes and material handling equipment. Annual crane inspections, third party Inspections, DOT inspections and various other equipment certifications will be performed at this facility.
“This new state-of-the art facility expands WPPE’s abilities to better support our customers more effectively particularly in the Indiana and Kentucky areas,” said Dick Feldman, Regional Manager at Walter Payton Power Equipment.
In addition to increased service capabilities, the new facility also has a larger parts inventory and storage area that offers increased on-hand inventory for Manitowoc, Grove and National Crane parts. The office area houses parts, service and sales staff, allowing ease of communication of all departments. An in-house designated training room holds up to 20 people for any type of training, whether its parts, service or any customer-specific training requirements.
WPPE offers new, rental and pre-owned equipment from Manitowoc, Grove, National, Broderson, Manitex, Manitex PM, Manitou, Talbert, Rope-Block and Trimble.
