CHICAGO, IL — The Metal Construction Association (MCA) welcomes Jeff Henry, MBA CAE, as Executive Director. Henry has cultivated a passion and deep respect for associations over his 30-year career in association management. He is a Certified Association Executive, a title earned by fewer than 5 percent of association professionals. As MCA’s Executive Director, Henry will lead a team of professionals who will support industry members and elevate the use of metal in construction.

"My job is to empower them to develop programs and services that advance the goals of the association and that provide our membership with exceptional professional development opportunities," Henry said.

“Jeff’s past experience with our organization as well other industry trade associations will be valuable as we continue the renewed strategic direction of MCA,” said Jim Bush, MCA Executive Committee Chair. “His leadership will assist in our initiatives of continued membership growth, technical and code research, marketing, fiscal responsibility, and industry outreach. I look forward to working with Jeff and his team.”

Henry‘s previous roles include Managing Director of the United States Bowling Congress and President of the National Frame Building Association. He currently is the Executive Director of the International Staple, Nail and Tool Association and the Synthetic Roof Underlayment Institute. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

MCA’s board of directors extends its thanks to Karl Hielscher, for his service as Executive Director for the past four years. During his tenure Hielscher was instrumental in strengthening the association’s strategic direction, growing overall membership, and developing technical and educational resources for the industry, including bulletins, white papers, and education seminars.
