In her role, Urizar will combine her design and construction expertise with best practices and lessons learned from experience to expand Gilbane’s growing cultural portfolio. Before joining Gilbane, Urizar spent 14 years on the operations team at The Art Institute of Chicago and two years in museum construction management consulting.

During her career, Urizar has been involved in numerous high-profile cultural and performing arts projects for clients, including The Art Institute of Chicago, Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, and Joslyn Art Museum.

Urizar has a civil and environmental engineering degree from the University of Michigan and is a founding board member of the Chicago Chapter of Professional Women in Construction.
