CHICAGO, IL — Skender announces six key leadership promotions as part of its strategy to drive growth, innovation, and operations in 2025. The promotions include:
Nelson Frech was promoted to Senior Project Manager, Team Leader. Since joining Skender’s Indianapolis team in 2022, Frech has had a range of responsibilities, from business development and estimating to field support and project management. Frech has worked on projects such as IU Health, Jane Pauley Community Health Center, IU School of Nursing, and Ivy Tech Kokomo.
Mike Muehring was promoted to Senior Project Manager, Team Leader. A Skender team member since 2016, Muehring brings 20 years of construction industry expertise to his new role. His recent projects include interior work for Salesforce Chicago and office renovations for Greenberg Traurig, RWE, and Ice Miller.
Will Hansen was promoted to Senior Superintendent. A member of the Skender team since 2017, Hansen has the ability to elevate team morale and execute complex projects. He has contributed to projects like Invenergy, Chubb, Equity LifeStyle, LinkedIn, and Bank of America.
Jake Lawniczak was promoted to Senior Project Manager. Since joining Skender in 2022, Lawniczak has promoted collaboration and maintained client relationships. A mentor to junior staff, Lawniczak's portfolio includes work on the 333 W Wacker repositioning and projects for Echo and Drive Capital.

Tom Walsh was promoted to Senior Project Manager. A Skender veteran since 2012, Walsh combines technical expertise with a collaborative, mentorship-driven approach. Recent projects under his guidance include Ace Hardware HQ, Littelfuse, Skadden, and Bank of America.
Stephanie Salazar was promoted to Senior Project Accountant. Since joining Skender in 2016, Salazar has demonstrated leadership, accountability, and problem-solving skills, especially on complex jobs.
