Bennett has more than 20 years of experience as a roadway designer. He also has experience in roadway drainage design, land development, and drainage review at the county government level. He has worked on multiple large projects for the South Carolina Department of Transportation, including the ongoing $2 billion Carolina Crossroads project.
His first assignment with Neel-Schaffer will be another SCDOT project, providing final design and construction plans for a project to replace the U.S. 301 bridge over the Savannah River in Allendale County, South Carolina, and Screven County, Georgia.

Bennett is a Registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina and Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida.
