Previously, she served as the Group Engineer for the 1st Special Forces Group at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, from 2018 to 2021. From 2015 to 2017, Brickner served as a Small Group Leader for the U.S. Army Engineer School at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. From 2013 to 2015, Brickner served as a Company Commander in the 588th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado.
Brickner’s other assignments include Construction Operations Officer for the 52nd Engineer Battalion, 555th Engineer Brigade from 2012 to 2013 at Fort Carson, Colorado; Future Operations Planner for the 3rd Army, U.S. Army Central Command from 2011 to 2012 at Camp Arifjian, Kuwait; Executive Officer for the 178th Engineer Company, 46th Engineer Battalion from 2009 to 2010 at Fort Polk, Louisiana; and Platoon Leader for Company B, 46th Engineer Battalion from 2008 to 2009 at Fort Polk, Louisiana.
Brickner received a Master of Business Administration from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2016. In 2007, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Austin Peay State University in Tennessee. Her military education includes the Army Engineer Officer Basic Course, Army Engineer Officer Career Course, and Army Command and General Staff College.
