PORTLAND, OR — The Sundt Foundation recently awarded $20,000 in grants to four nonprofits across the Pacific Northwest.
“Our employee-owners are committed to supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable members of our community through our quarterly grant program and volunteerism. Through their programming, these nonprofits are providing necessary services that uplift individuals and families,” said Ken Kubacki, Vice President and Regional Manager for Sundt Construction and the Sundt Foundation Northwest region board representative.
Color Outside the Lines received a $5,000 grant to fund its Notes on Fields project, which promotes youth mental health by combining creative expression with restorative time in nature. The funds will be used to host outdoor camps and distribute wellness journals and art supply kits to underserved youth. This initiative provides children with tools to process emotional trauma, build resilience, and express themselves creatively in safe, healing environments.
Family Promise of Clark County was awarded $5,000 to support its holistic services for families experiencing homelessness. The grant will help over 150 low-income families access shelter, case management, and long-term housing support.
The Children’s Cancer Association received $5,000 to support its JoyRx Music program, which brings the healing power of music to children facing cancer, serious illness, or injury. The grant will enable live and recorded music sessions that uplift the spirits of pediatric patients in hospitals and clinics.

Bradley Angle was awarded $5,000 to provide urgent assistance to Black and African American survivors of domestic violence. The unrestricted funding will be used to supply essential items such as clothing, toiletries, and bedding for new arrivals in emergency shelters. These resources ensure that survivors are welcomed with dignity and care, while allowing the organization to respond quickly to crises and reduce barriers to safety and recovery.
The Sundt Foundation awards grants on a quarterly cycle. Organizations are selected through an application and review process, overseen by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
