DENVER, CO — Burns & McDonnell announces Karen Simpson will serve as the new Environmental Leader in the Mountain Region, overseeing a team providing environmental studies, consulting services, remediation, and design-build solutions for environmental projects.

Simpson has more than 20 years of experience in environmental consulting, most recently serving as the overall Environmental Services Lead for an engineering, environmental, and construction management firm. Simpson has managed environmental efforts for projects including solar development, transmission lines, substations, gas pipelines, and data centers. She will play a key role in expanding the Environmental Services Group of Burns & McDonnell in Colorado and the Northwest.
