“Hydropower is the world’s largest renewable energy source. With aging infrastructure, continually evolving operating strategies and environmental changes, the potential for growth in hydropower is enormous,” Sheron said. “My goal is to grow the program by connecting HDR’s expertise with client needs.”
Sheron has extensive experience in the federal hydropower system including eight years as a Project Manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Hydroelectric Design Center. In collaboration with USACE leadership and customers, she oversaw life-cycle project management for more than 50 hydropower projects nationwide including the John Day turbine rehabilitation, Bonneville Station service upgrade, and many projects for USACE on the Savannah River. Sheron also served as a Dam Safety Engineer for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s Division of Dam Safety.
“Bree has the uncommon ability to lead complex, technical hydropower projects with a highly collaborative approach,” said Lisa Larson, HDR Vice President. “She’s a natural leader whose drive and passion for hydropower will support our clients in maintaining and developing the hydropower resources that account for roughly 60 percent of the Northwest power supply.”
Sheron is a Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Gonzaga University.
