Battle Joins HNTB as Director of Small Business Partnerships in Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — Angela Battle joins HNTB as Director of Small Business Partnerships in Seattle. Battle brings over a decade of experience implementing and managing sustainable diversity programs.

As Director of Small Business Partnerships, Battle will manage programs to sustain and develop small business partnerships and foster diversity and inclusive business practices on projects throughout the Puget Sound region. Battle will collaborate with business development teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and apprentices on diversity and inclusion pursuits. One of the notable programs that she will be contributing to is the Washington State Department of Transportation’s I-405/SR 167 Corridor Program.

“Angela’s track record of success in leading diversity initiatives speaks volumes about her dedication to fostering an environment where everyone can thrive. Her passion for creating equitable opportunities aligns seamlessly with our values as a company,” said Kris Agers, HNTB Office Leader for the region and Senior Vice President. “I am confident Angela’s unique perspective and innovative approach will enhance our already strong partnerships within the small business community.”

Prior to joining HNTB, Battle spent 16 years creating, implementing, and managing sustainable subcontractor/supplier diversity programs in both higher education and the construction industry. She has successfully incorporated diverse-owned businesses, suppliers, and vendors into organizational supply chains and business practices.

Among Battle’s notable projects, she built a sustainable subcontractor/supplier diversity program from the ground up for a Seattle-based construction company. Her responsibilities entailed partnering with key IT and accounting teams to create a robust reporting structure to monitor key performance indicators, identify opportunities, and create mentorship programs for diverse-owned businesses. She also educated and trained stakeholders to proactively contribute to diversity and inclusion.

Battle received her Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
