Broadway Curve Wins 2025 ACEC Arizona Grand Award

PHOENIX, AZ — The I‑10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project has earned one of American Council of Engineering Companies Arizona’s (ACEC Arizona) 2025 Grand Awards in its Excellence in Arizona Engineering Awards. This recognition honors collaboration, innovation, and infrastructure impact across the Phoenix metro corridor.

“We had a great team, from our client ADOT [Arizona Department of Transportation] to our JV partners and designers. It’s a special feeling to get an accolade of this level," said Senior Project Manager Amy Haymaker, when reacting to the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project being selected as a 2025 Grand Award Winner by ACEC Arizona for its Excellence in Arizona Engineering Awards.

“With its numerous innovations, including collector‑distributor roads, Broadway Curve demonstrates that great things in infrastructure are happening in Arizona,” Pulice President Victor Jimenez said. "I am honored to be part of the great team receiving this award.”

Running through Phoenix, Tempe, Guadalupe, and Chandler, Arizona, the Broadway Curve project was the largest urban freeway reconstruction in ADOT’s history. The joint venture of Pulice, FNF, and FlatironDragados constructed the project using the design-build delivery method. Pulice is a FlatironDragados subsidiary. T.Y. Lin International served as lead designer. Despite complex stakeholder dynamics and multiple jurisdictions, the design-build model facilitated direct communication, integrated decision-making, and rapid resolution of challenges.
