PHOENIX, AZ — Willmeng Construction announces the hiring of Michelle Rousseau as Director of Trade Relations role. This newly created director-level position is designed to strategically deepen relationships with key trade partners and enhance communication across the firm’s growing market sectors.

Rousseau’s role as Director of Trade Relations was created to proactively grow their base of specialized subcontractor firms to serve their expanded market sectors. This position is unique to general contractors and is specifically designed to drive deeper partnerships and mutually leverage the strengths of the companies. Rousseau will focus on being a dedicated resource for those trade partners to serve them from project preconstruction stages through warranty stages, as well as serve as a source of information and guidance for trade partners to navigate expanded opportunities within Willmeng.
In this role, Rousseau will focus on adding depth to relationships with key trade partners as it relates to Willmeng's growth throughout the western United States. Her primary objectives include enhancing project results in terms of quality and safety, as well as advocating for Willmeng's culture to influence the trade partners' project approach. Additionally, Rousseau will identify top-performing trades and encourage the utilization of them to increase partner diversity and enhance project results.
Rousseau brings over 11 years of construction industry experience to the role. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona. Her previous experience includes Virtual Design and Construction and trade coordination. She also spent eight years in a business development role.
