Gonzalez has nearly three decades of construction experience managing design-build, design-assist and traditional construction projects servicing multiple industries, including life science, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial, power, science and technology, hospitality, healthcare and higher education.
Prior to this promotion, Gonzalez served as a Project Director with McCarthy for the past eight years holding key roles on a variety of projects, including the award-winning, LEED Platinum Arizona State University Biodesign Institute C facility and OdySea Aquarium. He retired as a Colonel in the United States Army after 30 years of service where he served in both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

Gonzalez earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Arizona State University. He holds positions on numerous external boards and associations, including the Industry Advisory Board for the ASU Del E. Webb School of Construction, Chair of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Arizona Chapter, Board Member of DBIA Western Pacific Region, Proposal Review Committee Member for the Society of College and University Planning, and most recently being named to the board of Maricopa Community College Foundation.
